Caribbean Miles - Gold, Silver and Bronze Cards
As a RBC Credit Card Holder for every $6.50 spent you earn one mile. For 15,000 miles you earn a round trip in the Caribbean. If you amass 30,000 miles you earn a round trip to the United States. Based on the amount of miles earned, even if you do not qualify for a ticket, you can use miles to reduce the price of your ticket.
Note Well๐๐๐๐๐๐
- All banks offer Frequent Flyer Miles Credit Cards which are linked to Caribbean Airlines Miles Programme; shop around
- Choose the lowest limit; you get to earn miles with the least financial exposure
- Pay off your credit card balances before the 13th of the month; paying 24% or 25% interest is painful to say the least; being financially literate is key.
- There is a Miles Processing Fee (MPF) and also "airline / travel taxes" on or around $800TT / $900TT (combined) when redeeming your miles for the ticket purchase
- This fee is nominal when you consider the full fare price
- You must book the ticket and pay the MPF 16 days prior to your date of travel otherwise you incur a further charge of $190TT. I just enjoyed a Miles Ticket to St. Lucia.
- My closing tips - pay all your bills with your credit card, these are payments that have to be made; so you achieve both goals. I pay for everything possible with my credit card and then some.
- Be prudent and spend wisely.๐
- BEST OF ALL, IF YOU DON'T WANT A CREDIT CARD, BUT TRAVEL OFTEN POP ONLINE AND COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION AND YOU CAN GET YOUR MILES CARD.
Any travel discounts always welcome...traveling can be quite en expensive thing to treat yourself to
